Experience
Mr. Yip graduated from Imperial College University of London with an honours degree in Computer Science in 1981 and gained a Master’s degree in Management Science in 1982.
Since then, he joined KPMG Peat Marwick in London, UK where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
He joined Coopers & Lybrand, Hong Kong (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1987 as an audit supervisor and was promoted to group manager in early 1990.
He left Coopers & Lybrand in 1992 to set up his own practice. His specialisation includes public listing work, cross-border corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions with special interest in railways/underground project work in South East Asia.
At present, Mr. Yip is the senior partner of Simon K.Y. Yip & Co., certified public accountants; he is also a consultant of Asiarails Limited which specialises in project finance work for trains/people-movers system in the South East Asia region.
